Big Sky Lamb in the Calgary Herald!
Hello! Welcome to our site!
Our farm is located 1 hour North West of Calgary, near the town of Didsbury, Alberta. We maintain a small flock of 55 breeding Ewes and 2 Rams. With a small operation, we are able to closely monitor the diet and condition of our flock at all times. We take great pride in our farm, and ensure that all of our animals receive exceptional care and attention.
Our lamb is raised naturally on pasture, locally grown hay and whole barley and plenty of fresh air, clean water and sunshine. We do not administer any growth hormones or antibiotics of any kind.
We are confident that our breeding program, and our strict attention to detail, results in our lamb being of the finest quality. Knowing where your food comes from, how it was raised, and who raised it, brings a level of assurance that cannot be met by any grocery store.

We are Craig and Shelley Jessop. Formerly city dwellers, we made the move out to the country in Fall 2000, fulfilling a life-long dream of both of ours. We continued working in the city - Craig as an Electrician, and me in the oil and gas industy - making the daily commute into Calgary until we decided to take the big plunge and become self-employed. And the rest is history! In addition to our sheep farm, we operate "Prairie Sky Electric Limited", and "Custom Gourmet Gift Baskets". And we are truly loving every minute of it! In addition to running our business' we enjoy playing guitar and singing, travel (whenever we can get away from the farm that is), our horses, and spending time with friends.
